We are looking for a person with experience from Life Science, to support early-stage founders and researchers within the Medtech, Biotech, and Pharma domains in Östergötland. Your mission will be to guide them in realizing their entrepreneurial dreams and turning cutting-edge innovations into successful ventures.

We are located in the heart of an innovative region and have a strong focus on Medtech, Biotech, and Pharma. To meet the growing potential in this field, we are now looking for an ambitious Business Coach with expertise across the Life Science sector to complement our coaching team and make a significant impact on the regional startup ecosystem.

Who are we looking for
As a Business Coach at LEAD, you will work closely with researchers and entrepreneurs, often from academia or with a background from the Life Science industry with potential innovations or technologies worth commercializing. We are now focusing on strengthen our capabilities within Life Science and are now looking for a coach with that profile to complement our coach team.

Your experience with startups will be crucial in guiding them through:

• Verify market needs and identify their ideal customers.
• Navigate regulatory frameworks and product development.
• Strengthen their strategies for IP and patents.
• Prepare for funding opportunities, from grants to pitching to investors.
• Create and implement business strategies that take their innovation from concept to market.

You will work closely with the potential founders and help them create and refine their business strategies, overcome challenges, and turn their visions into successful businesses. Your role will be instrumental in building a strong entrepreneurial community and fostering innovation in Östergötland.

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking someone who combines a passion for startups with deep expertise in the Life Science sector. You are a problem solver, mentor, and strategist who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys tackling new challenges.

• Provide one-on-one coaching to startup founders and researchers, assisting them with strategies, solutions and advice. Help create engagement and maintain focus on their goals.
• Assess the needs of each startup and tailor coaching sessions to address their specific challenges and opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions on topics relevant to startups, including business development, funding, and marketing.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive community among incubated startups, encouraging knowledge sharing and networking.
• Act as a mentor and guide, leveraging your own experience to help startups navigate the entrepreneurial journey.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and market developments, sharing this knowledge with startups.

Your qualifications

• Preferably, experience in the startup- or scaleup journey within Medtech, Biotech, or Pharma, preferably in the phase from product development to market access.

• Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, including funding, growth strategies, and market trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals.
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience facilitating workshops and delivering training.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.

Familiarity with the Östergötland entrepreneurial ecosystem is a bonus, as is an understanding of the region's unique opportunities.
